This Master’s degree, organized by the “Gregorio Peces-Barba” Human Rights Institute, offers specialized and advanced education in the field of human rights with an academic and research orientation and focus.

This Master’s program provides an education on the basic aspects of human rights, in addition to specialization in different fields where human rights are studied.

The student in this program will acquire knowledge of general theory about human rights and research methodology, international human rights law, constitutional law and jurisdictional protection of the rights, and contemporary challenges facing human rights. Accordingly, students are trained and prepared to carry out teaching and research in this field, which also enables them to participate in non-governmental organizations, national and international agencies that defend and promote human rights and human rights consultancies.

The research involved will prepare students to access the Ph.D. program in Advanced Studies in Human Rights.
